LBAB Community: Major Sales Weekend

Hope you’ve been catching as many deals as sales over this weekend. I stocked up on furniture for my new apartment, got a new bed, and grabbed some updated clothes. Deals were great. Lots was on sale and my family spent Thursday through Saturday shopping deals.

👏 $4.1B in Black Friday Sales 👏

You all absolutely crushed it. Across all Shopify stores $4.1B were processed in Black Friday sales. For context it was $3.8B in 2022. Hope you’re margins were fat and sales crushed.

Of course Shopify killed it covering the outside of the sphere in Vegas with the live globe of the shopping data. As a company they really are firing on all cylinders.

7 things I’m thankful:

I know we did this all on Thursday, but as I’m sitting here thinking about the year, and there are a couple things that struck me as really profound changes in my life.

1. Marrying the love of my life.

2. Spending more time with my family

3. Surrounding myself with incredible humans at work.

4. Drinking less

5. Traveling more

6. Starting LBAB!

7. Spending more time connecting with all of you.

It’s been a challenging, adventurous, incredible year. It wouldn’t have been remotely the same without all of you.

The support, feedback, encouragement has motivated me to sit down every Sunday since I launched this thing in February to be a part of this community.

Everything from the Name (thank you Will) to the logo (thank you Tracy) has been built with and by you. Every week I sit down to write this I think about how we can help each other one week at a time.

While I jump onto my laptop every Sunday morning to write ~2.5k words about some out of the box idea I had, it is constantly inspired by conversations and feedback from all of you.

The final thing I want to share my gratitude with is all the replies. I’m working on a faster way to respond, but those replies are the fuel that keep me going.

Writing a newsletter sometimes feels like writing into a void. Each reply let’s me know I’ve earned your inbox every week.

We have a lot of exciting updates and new plans coming in 2024. I can’t wait to share them all with you.
